Vince is the Associate Dean and Clinical Associate Professor at the NYU Tisch Institute for Sports Management, Media, and Business. He was formerly Director of the globally-ranked Graduate Sports Management program at Columbia University. He began teaching in 2007 and enjoys sharing his experience, knowledge, and passion with graduate students who hope to enter the world of sports business. He draws on his 20-year career at PepsiCo in sales, finance, brand management and Division President roles, as well as his ownership of a professional sports franchise and his decade of consulting, researching, and analyzing sports business. His access to industry insiders contributes to a stellar lineup of guest lecturers. Vince integrates the use of case studies into many of his courses, which allow students a hands-on opportunity to apply the concepts, thought processes, and analytical tools he teaches. He maintains an active research and analysis agenda, which often presents internship opportunities for his top students. His on-going involvement with key leaders in the sports industry help make his courses topical and relevant.

While Vince maintains no official capacity with the Haas School of Business, since 2008 he has led an independent study each year during the spring semester. The projects have consisted of 4 to 6 member graduate student teams, working under Vince's leadership to quantitatively analyze specific issues in baseball and sports. This research collaboration has proved to be value added for all parties, including the students and the Haas school. Below is a list of each project and project team:
